Ellen Highsmith Silver

The Village of Rye, New York, Centennial Quilt, was made as a fundraiser for Rye's historical society. Ellen's exquisite applique work included some of Rye's historic buildings, indegenous shore birds, and locally grown flowers. The Rye resident who made the winning bid of $6500 donated the quilt to the city for permanent display.
